Car Rental Terms and Conditions

Car rental terms in Morocco may vary from one agency to another, but here are some general requirements that usually apply:


Article 1 – Purpose of the Contract

The company Excellence VIP, hereinafter referred to as "the Lessor," provides the client, hereinafter referred to as "the Lessee," with a vehicle whose characteristics are defined in the rental contract, for an agreed duration.

Article 2 – Rental Conditions

• The Lessee must be at least 21 years old.
• The Lessee must hold a valid driving license for at least 2 years.
• A valid identity document (ID card or passport) and a valid driving license must be presented upon vehicle pickup.
• A security deposit will be required (amount specified in the contract).

Article 3 – Rental Duration

• The rental period is stated in the contract. Any day started is considered due.
• In case of overrun without authorization, the Lessor reserves the right to charge penalties and recover the vehicle without prior notice.

Article 4 – Use of the Vehicle

The Lessee agrees to:
• Not use the vehicle for illegal purposes or competitions.
• Not transport goods or passengers for payment.
• Not sublet or lend the vehicle to a third party.
• Use the vehicle only on suitable roads and within the limits set by the manufacturer.

Article 5 – Insurance & Liability

• All vehicles are insured with third-party liability coverage.
• In the event of an at-fault accident, the Lessee is responsible for an excess equal to 5% of the vehicle’s new value, with a minimum of 5,000 MAD.
• Damage to tires, rims, windshield, or interior components is not covered unless otherwise stated in the contract.
• Theft or loss of documents and/or keys will be charged.

Article 6 – Maintenance and Fuel

• The vehicle is delivered clean and with a specified fuel level. It must be returned in the same condition.
• Any missing fuel will be charged at the current rate plus service fees.
• The Lessee is responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good condition during the rental period and must report any issues.

Article 7 – Return of the Vehicle

• The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time.
• Any delay without authorization will be charged.
• Any damage found upon return will be charged to the Lessee according to the terms of the contract.

Article 8 – Early Termination

The contract may be terminated at any time by the Lessee. In such a case, a prorated calculation will be made, but no refund will be due if termination is initiated by the Lessee, unless expressly agreed by the Lessor.

Article 9 – Disputes and Jurisdiction

In the event of a dispute, both parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the Commercial Court of Casablanca shall have sole jurisdiction.

Article 10 – Acceptance

The Lessee acknowledges having read and accepted these general rental terms and conditions without reservation.
